This engagement session at Ault Park was SUCH a treat for me!! I’ve known Madi since high school, and she was one of my first “models” when I was just starting photography. That took us to her senior photos, her younger sisters’, and now her engagement photos!!!
It’s always extra special to photograph people I know, but especially for engagements and weddings (which I’ll be doing next fall and can’t wait for!!)
I already knew the fashion as going to be chef’s kiss, but that romantic summer light we were hoping for came through juuuuust right, too ✨
Ault Park Cincinnati was the perfect garden location for these two. We had a mix of perfectly landscaped gardens full of greenery and florals galore, and some beautiful architecture. It almost felt like I was back at home in Chicago! (Although technically, Cincinnati is my real home…anyways…)
I almost never photograph in Cincinnati anymore these days, so it was a double whammy of fun working with a friend and being in my hometown, getting to do what I’ve done almost entirely since moving to Chicago several years ago.
I’m so grateful and excited that I got to work with these two for their Ault Park engagement photos!
For the second part of Alex + Madi’s engagement pictures at Ault Park, we went with a more casual look and played around a bit with some daytime direct flash for a bit more of a fun, fashion-inspired vibe. I love how everything turned out!
