Chicagoans party hard in the summer, but nothing gets us ready for the winter like some colorful fall foliage throughout the city, and South Pond is one of the best places to see it. Erick and Mariah joined my early one fall morning before the rest of the city was fully awake for the most beautiful and colorful fall engagement photos packed with stunning foliage. When Mariah originally reached out about their wedding, she mentioned wanting lots of color and happy smiles and laughs. I think between the sunshine, wagging tails, and fall colors, we got it all. What a joy to spend the morning with happy people and their fur babies! It was a struggle to pick between a fall engagement session or one in the spring, and we decided on both–woot woot! Boy was this an especially good year for fall engagement photos in Chicago!
We spent the session chatting about their wedding plans, then our second scheduled engagement session in the spring with cherry blossoms. I was busy obsessing over all of it. Plus getting this colorful of a fall in Chicago doesn’t happen so often. And getting an empty Lincoln Park? Practically unheard of. But hey, the early bird gets the worm, right?! (props to y’all who wake up at 5:30am for your engagement sessions!!!)
