Ellen and Brett’s gorgeous day at The University Club of Chicago was perfect all around, from simple and classic black and white details with a pop of bright green for a modern take, to the most beautiful, sunny summer park portraits in the heart of the city. Not only was this day beautiful, but it was an absolute joy to be around these two and all of their people!
What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?
“Being MARRIED !!! & All of our friends and family coming together from near and far to celebrate ~~love~~” I always know it’s going to be an incredible dance floor when people are coming from so far!!!
What inspired your wedding decor? Did you have a theme in mind?
“Sleek, and timeline modern.” I love what these two did with the decor–they brightened up an otherwise darker venue full of character, and added a modern twist with pops of bright green and playful texture mixed into classic white-and-green florals. This was the perfect twist on a classic, especially for a June wedding and park portraits earlier in the day.
Tell me a little about the food and drink!
“We are so excited for the food!! This is a big reason we chose the venue. we are members, and have been to many events that are executed so well. It’s a pretty fancy dinner — 4 courses including dessert. Of course, can’t forget about late night snacks!”
