Imagine a gorgeous indoor/outdoor wedding venue offering earth-toned elegance against the city skyline. A Cafe Brauer wedding is a wonderful option for any season, complete with a newly landscaped drive which greets guests as they arrive. This is a personal favorite during summer and fall, when summer wildflowers or colorful fall trees fill the park.
Venue Details
There are two locations to host a wedding at Lincoln Park Zoo. The first is the Peoples’ Gas Pavilion (aka the “Honeycomb”), which you can rent out solely for a wedding ceremony. The second option is Café Brauer, which you can rent as reception venue only, or as both a ceremony and reception space.
The iconic Peoples Gas Pavilion at the Lincoln Park South Pond is surround by the Nature Boardwalk, and overlooks an amazing view of the Chicago skyline. The space can accommodate up to 200 seated guests, and is the perfect outdoor venue for Chicago lovers!
Please note, the structure doesn’t protect guests entirely from rain.

Café Brauer is one of Chicago’s most highly prized rental venues, and for good reason! This timeless, prairie-style landmark was completed in 1908, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The second floor of Great Hall is the centerpiece with its soaring sky lit roof, Tiffany-inspired glass chandeliers, stained glass windows, tile mosaics, and flanking curved outdoor Loggias.
The outdoor Loggias are tented and heated from November 1st until April 30th, perfect for comfortable events all year round.
Café Brauer can accommodate both a ceremony and cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dancing for up to 230 guests. For guest counts under 150, ceremonies can take place on the South Loggia (outdoor, but covered) if you prefer an outdoor, on-site ceremony space. Onsite Great Hall Ceremonies are available for a fee, and outdoor Loggia ceremonies are included at no additional fee.
Parking
While there is often ample street parking throughout Lincoln Park on Stockton Drive and surrounding streets, weekends can get busy and parking may become harder to find. There is also a paid parking lot attached to the Lincoln Park Zoo.
